Concordia University Texas to Host Discussion about Austin’s Music Scene and Its Impact on the Region
Austin - During the Spring 2011 semester, Concordia University Texas will host the “Conversations With…Speaker Series,” focusing on issues of importance to the greater Austin region. Prominent community leaders in industries such as education, technology and music, will engage in spirited dialogues with Dr. Donald Christian, Dean of the College of Business, about such topics as the music scene and its impact in Austin and the need for improved education.

Speakers Include:
Charles Attal is the producer of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
John Koonce is the owner of Waterloo Records.
Mr. Attal and Mr. Koonce will discuss the music scene and it’s impact in Austin.

Attendees should bring their own lunch.

The next speaker series event is scheduled for Thursday, March 3 and will feature discussions with Allyson Peerman, president of the AMD Foundation; and Russell Bridges, government and community affairs manager for 3M.
