- Los Angeles, October 21, 2011– Shlemmer + Algaze + Associates (SAA), an Interiors and Architecture firm specializing in the design of commercial interiors, today announced that Jon Zimmerman has been appointed as Principal to lead its new Specialized Projects Group. In this role, Jon will be responsible for the specialty design practice which will focus on process and technology-driven uses such as manufacturing, assembly and laboratories. Some of the specialty uses fully understood by Zimmerman are clean rooms, research and development centers, manufacturing and highly complicated uses such as explosive environments.
Before joining SAA, Jon spent 13 years at Rockwell International in Anaheim, California working for the Corporate Vice President of Operations. While at Rockwell International, Zimmerman developed his initial understanding of process driven environments and learned he had a passion for these types of projects which he focused on throughout his career. Zimmerman will be based out of SAA’s Newport Beach, California office with client responsibilities nationwide spanning a diverse range of projects.
