Sinclair Appoints Associate VP
Dayton -

DAYTON – Strengthening its relationship with Dayton Public Schools, Sinclair Community College recently appointed Ron Kindell to associate vice president. Kindell will continue to develop and maintain Sinclair’s relationship with DPS primarily focusing his efforts on the new David H. Ponitz Career Technology Center.

Formerly a DPS teacher, Kindell most recently served as the director of the Tech Prep Consortium. A founding member of the consortium, Kindell oversaw 16 years of continued growth, including the expansion to more than 50 schools across southwest Ohio.

“Ron is an extraordinary leader and will serve both Sinclair and Dayton Public Schools well in this role,” said Dr. Steven Johnson, president of Sinclair.

Sinclair created this position in an effort to create a seamless transition for DPS students into career pathways and higher education.  The position was part of a 2006 Sinclair Board of Trustees resolution to approve resources for maintaining the long-standing commitment to DPS to create a world-class high school.

Tech Prep has appointed Nick Wilson as interim director.
