Trinity Academy Of Raleigh Selects New Upper School Head

RALEIGH, N.C.Dr. Robert Littlejohn, head of school at Trinity Academy of Raleigh (www.trinityacademy.com), a preK-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that the academy has named Steve Pond as upper school head.  In this position, Pond will oversee Trinity’s upper school faculty and students grades 7 through 12. 

 

Before joining Trinity, Pond served as the assistant principal at River Bend, a year-round elementary school in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS).  He has previous experience at Centennial Campus Middle School, where he served as the 7th grade administrator; Ligon GT Magnet Middle School, where he taught 8th grade social studies; and Granville County Public Schools, where he taught social studies and science.  Pond is formerly a member of the North Carolina Association of Educators, the WCPSS Division of Principals and Assistant Principals and the N.C. Council for Social Studies.  He is an active member of Wake Forest Presbyterian Church and participates on both the men’s and co-recreational softball teams.  Pond resides in Raleigh with his wife, April. They are expecting their first child in August.
