Institute for Entrepreneurship Hosts My Team of Experts’ President Patricia Golden to Discuss PR Strategies
Charlotte -

Patricia Golden, president of public relations firm My Team of Experts, Inc. (www.myteamofexperts.com) was the featured guest lecturer at the Central Piedmont Community College Institute for Entrepreneurship on October 27. Her presentation on Marketing Strategies and Public Relations explored the unique challenges that small businesses and nonprofits face and specific tactics that they can implement to effectively communicate their value to customers.

“Potential customers must not only be aware of your product or service, they must appreciate its value in order to open their wallets,” says Golden. “It is essential to communicate a clear, succinct message of value in a language the audience understands through whatever means they receive information. Buyers will appreciate the value of your product or service only if your message is consistent with your actions and if your actions are consistent with their needs.”

The Institute for Entrepreneurship is administering the Kauffman Foundation’s FastTrac New Venture LaunchPad program as part of North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue’s Economic and Workforce Recovery Initiative. The program is specially designed for laid off workers and/or underemployed individuals who have been adversely affected by the economic downturn.

Golden has been invited to share her ideas about entrepreneurship, effective communications and business growth with chambers of commerce, professional organizations and business groups across the Southeast. She has appeared on numerous radio and television news programs and has been featured in publications across the country. Golden is a recipient of the Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business Achievement Award and has been a finalist for the Charlotte Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year Award and finalist for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Rising Star Award. She is past president of the National Association of Women Business Owners Charlotte Chapter, past president of the Business Expansion Funding Corporation, founding board member of Charlotte Small Business Hub, Inc., and board member of the Charlotte Interactive Marketing Association.
