- (November 16, 2009) Tim Moore, owner and principal of Dancing Elephants Achievement Group of North Carolina announced today that Carolina Business Connection and Dancing Elephants Achievement Group are Line Producer Level Sponsors of The Peak City Film Festival.
The Peak City Film Festival is an international film festival competition, specifically for producers of family friendly productions using new-media. Based in historic downtown Apex, North Carolina, the event attracts entries from all over the world to be judged on their entertainment value, artistic merit, and production value.
“The Peak City Film Festival is a unique Film Festival located our community that it depends on community support and local sponsors,” said Tim Moore “and we are happy to offer our support and services to help the Festival achieve success.”
The Festival is unique among all such events in that it will focus on digital and new-media productions for general audiences rather than taking a broad brush across the gamut of all genres. The call for entries for the Festival went out worldwide during the summer. Entries arrived from independent producers worldwide.
The focus of the Festival is on productions suitable for general audiences. The producers emphasize the Festival will provide a forum for the display and judging of digital and new-media with a high entertainment value able to be viewed comfortably by anyone of any age.
A gala awards reception in Apex on Friday, November 20th, and that promises to be an event in itself in the tradition of “Old Hollywood” with red carpets, sweeping searchlights, limousines, and paparazzi everywhere! Many national and local celebrities have already expressed interest in attending. The winning and top-rated productions will be screened for the public the following Saturday and Sunday at two venues in historic downtown Apex. Many music and art events are planned in Apex for those days as well.
With a quintessential downtown area complete with an ice cream shop, Apex is a pedestrian-friendly, family-friendly town ideal for a family-focused film festival. The Peak City Film Festival accepted international submissions during their maiden call for entries and will screen family-friendly feature-length films, shorts and mobisodes (under 7 minutes in length) with the intention of carrying on the passions of storytelling through the motion picture.
