Armstrong Bank Embraces Video for RDC Education
Charlotte -

Community institution finds value add with interactive online content

CHARLOTTE MindBlazer, a marketing technology company that leverages interactive video and new media for the financial industry, announced that Armstrong Bank has implemented its remote deposit capture-themed MoneyMinutesTV segment to improve the learning curve for small businesses about this service and its benefits.

Armstrong Bank is an Oklahoma-based community institution that operates 17 branches across the state. Primarily a consumer-driven depository, it also maintains a strong base of commercial customers and believes in educating these small business owners about the solutions that can affect their bottom line. Recognizing that more individuals are relying on the Internet for information, Armstrong Bank enlisted MindBlazer to further support its initiatives to market the RDC offering and enhance consumer understanding through the online channel.

“MindBlazer’s remote deposit capture video provides beneficial content that is a true value add to our Web site,” Ron Davis, SVP of sales and service for Armstrong Bank, explained. “This format engages our customers without overwhelming them with new information. It has become a highly effective sales tool in that it actually demonstrates how the service works, leading to a greater knowledge of the advantages RDC offers.”

Davis added that Armstrong Bank CSRs often rely on the MoneyMinutesTV content to help supplement their sales efforts. While both in branch and via phone, the CSRs direct prospects to the bank’s Web site to view the video, and thus far the method has produced a very positive response from both bank employees and customers.

“Although commercial deposits are not Armstrong Bank’s primary focus, it understands the importance of meeting the needs of this segment of business customers,” Ryan Brown, MindBlazer president and CEO, said. “The bank has identified interactive online video as an effective method for communicating its business banking options as well as providing a resource that is informative for customers.”
