- CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, NOV. 23, 2009: Mirador, an all-inclusive life care retirement community now under development by Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC) in Corpus Christi, has announced the appointment of Wendy Gainan as director of sales and marketing. The appointment was announced by Tony Snyder, Regional Marketing Manager of Greystone Communities, Inc.
“Wendy is the ideal choice to lead Mirador marketing now as we move into the exciting next phase of construction,” said Snyder. “She was key in bringing Mirador this far and her ability to inform the public about what Mirador has to offer has only improved.”
Gainan is a native of Corpus Christi. She attended Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education and her master’s degree in mid-management and curriculum education. Gainan served the Corpus Christi community for 26 years as a teacher and middle school principal for Corpus Christi Independent School District, and worked with Houghton Mifflin as a sales counselor for the West Texas region. With real estate experience in Corpus Christi, Gainan now uses her in-depth knowledge about the Corpus Christi community and area seniors as the director of sales and marketing at Mirador.
“I am honored to be selected for this position,” said Gainan. “As a native of Corpus Christi, I truly understand the positive aspects that Mirador will bring to the Coastal Bend community. This area has never seen anything like the future Mirador community. Not only will it benefit potential residents, but the entire community will be affected by bringing new jobs to the area.”
Now under development in the heart of south Corpus Christi, Mirador will be the area’s only all-inclusive life care senior living community. Designed to enrich the lives of seniors, Mirador will feature 25,000 square feet of commons areas on a lush 17-acre campus at Timbergate and South Staples. The gated community will include approximately 110 customized independent living apartment homes, each with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and 24-hour emergency response system, as well as 44 private assisted living suites, 41 private rooms for dignified nursing care, and 16 private residences for memory support.
Mirador will be a 501(c)3 not-for-profit senior living community owned by Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC), a Texas-based nonprofit organization that owns sister communities Edgemere in Dallas, The Buckingham in Houston, Querencia at Barton Creek in Austin, and The Stayton at Museum Way in Fort Worth.
