- CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) is donating time and expertise to the 2010 Mayor’s Youth Employment Program (MYEP), Tues., June 15 at Central Piedmont Community College’s Central’s campus. Representing FPA Charlotte will be Aamer Shah of Vanguard and Harry R. Greyard of Waddell & Reed, who will teach the teen program, "Credit Matter," and play a financial football game with the youth in attendance. According to the City of Charlotte, more than 100 youth are expected to participate. "It's great to create jobs for our youth and stimulate hiring,” said Chia-Li Chien, CFP®, CRPC, PMP, Pro Bono Director of the FPA Charlotte chapter. “But preparing the youth to manage their finance is crucial to shape their financial well being into the future.” The Financial Planning Association of Charlotte is a chapter of the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), a membership organization that exists to help consumers make intelligent financial decisions to achieve their life goals.
