Diane Busch Appointed Branch Manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in La Quinta
Orange County -

PALM DESERT, Calif.—July 14, 2010—Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is pleased to announce that Diane Busch has been named the La Quinta office branch manager.  Busch has over 15 years of real estate experience in residential and retail/corporate real estate and has specialized in residential real estate sales in the Desert region since she and her husband made the move to the area in 2003.

"We are honored to have Diane join our management team in the Desert," said Rick Jenkins, Regional Vice President, Orange County & Desert Regions. "She brings a wealth of experience in company operations and real estate. Her business ethics, professionalism and integrity will complement the Coldwell Banker culture."

A native Californian, Busch was raised in the Bay area and then spent 20 years in Los Angeles where she worked in the computer, then entertainment industry before being recruited by GUESS, Inc., an internationally renowned retailer and manufacturer.  After four years in management, Busch was enlisted by the owner to lead the real estate department and manage and negotiate their real estate portfolio of all Canadian and U.S. stores. This position is what ultimately sparked her passion for the real estate industry.

After 20 years in Los Angeles, she and her husband, Jim, moved to the Palm Springs/Desert Cities in mid-2003, where she has specialized in residential real estate sales. One of her goals since moving to the desert was to become more involved in the local community and the real estate industry.

Diane has been active on committees at the California Desert Association of REALTORS® and with the Women’s Council of REALTORS® since 2004. Additionally, she has served in the following capacities: 2009/10 Director, California Desert Association of REALTORS® (CDAR); 2010 CDAR Local Government Relations Chair; 2010 State Governor for Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR); 2009 State District Vice President for WCR; 2009 State WCR Bylaws Chair; 2008 WCR President, Palm Springs/Desert Cities Chapter. In 2006, Diane received the WCR Businesswoman of the Year award.

Certified as an E-PRO professional - the only technology certification course offered by the National Association of Realtors® - her areas of expertise include luxury properties, tennis and golf communities, vacation and second homes, 1031 exchanges, retirement communities, first-time homebuyers, and family homes.

A sports enthusiast and avid tennis player, Busch may be found playing tennis three-to-four times a week at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens - when she is not selling real estate.  She also plays in the United States Tennis Association leagues.

"As we make our transition in management, I would like to offer our sincere appreciation to our retiring manager, Dawn Rehfeld," said Tom Iovenitti, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Orange County & Desert Region. “She has played an integral role in growing our Desert area division and in leading and developing a first-class team of agents.”

Diane Busch will be replacing Dawn Rehfeld as the LaQuinta office Branch Manager beginning July 15th.  “She brings a wealth of management experience and real estate industry knowledge to our management team and we are extremely pleased to welcome her to our Coldwell Banker family,” states Tom Iovenitti.
